Patricia & Peter
Peter and I got married in June at the Domaine du Mont Leuze. We had an absolutely fantastic day. We and our guests enjoyed it so much, everybody is still talking about it. A lot of people said our wedding was the nicest they have ever been to!!
We got engaged in November 2004 and decided right away that we want to celebrate in the South of France. I started to search the Internet for locations and came across the Avaa website (thank god!!). I spoke to Chloe on the phone and while we were talking she sent me pictures and examples of locations near Nice. I explained to her what is important to us (all our guests should be able to stay overnight at the same place, party until late etc). When we flew to Nice for a weekend in December we looked at a few locations that I found on the Internet and we met Chloe who showed us two locations as well. It immediately became clear that she is a professional and that she understood exactly what we were looking for. We did not hesitate to put it in her hands, I trusted her completely.
I cannot understand anymore that I thought about organizing the wedding myself without living there. Impossible. It is too much work.
Chloe knows the best contractors. Starting from the caterer to the photographer to the floriste to the DJ etc. And not forgetting the ceremony. She organised the priest, the musicians, the set-up for the ceremony. And she negotiated good prices for us and constantly updated the budget. We were always involved in all the decisions, always had a choice and took her advice.
We went to Nice a second time in February to meet the contractors and they already knew where our priorities were. We tasted the food and wine, chose flowers, talked to the DJ, discussed the ceremony with the priest and went through everything else in Chloes office. From then on it was only email and phone which worked perfectly. She was never annoyed with me and my questions – and I had a lot of questions!
All our friends and family came for a mini-break which involved quite a bit more work. For example we organised a brunch at the Domaine du Mont Leuze for the day after the wedding. And again, she organised someone doing that plus chairs, tables and umbrellas. She also found a restaurant in Beaulieu that we could have just for us the evening after.
I couldn’t be more grateful. We are so happy about the wedding and how everything worked out. I think the most impressive with Avaa is that they exactly understand your taste and priorities and that our wedding was as important to them as it was for us and that includes every little detail (for example the names of the tables or the rose petals that paved the way to the ceremony.. all these small things that really make a difference).
As I said before, if you don’t live in France it is very hard to find the best contractors who do not rip you off; it would have ruined the months before our wedding. Because of working with Chloe, we could spend a lot of time making the wedding a lot more personal and just look forward to it without any worries and enjoy the preparations.
Thank you, Chloe!!! We had the best day in our lives!
If anybody living in England or Germany or Sweden has more questions, they can always call me!
Big hug
Peter and Patricia
